  • Do I need any prior qualifications to take this course?
    No prior qualifications are required. This course is designed for anyone planning to register a children's home — whether you are completely new to the sector or transitioning from a related care background. Module 1 sets the context from the beginning.
  • Is this course recognised by Ofsted?
    This course is not a qualification and is not awarded by a regulated awarding body. It is a professional development course designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical tools to complete your Ofsted registration successfully. The knowledge you gain is directly applicable to your application.
  • How long will it take to complete?
    The course has approximately 10–12 hours of video content across 8 modules. Most learners work through it over 6–8 weeks alongside their registration preparation. There are no deadlines — you learn at your own pace and return to any lesson as many times as you need.
  • What happens if I need help with something specific?
    Level 1 learners have access to the course materials and can email ECI CIC with general queries. Level 2 and Level 3 learners get live webinar time with Gradle and Joe Staines where specific questions can be addressed directly. Level 3 learners also receive consultancy visits for in-depth review of their specific situation.
  • When do the live webinars take place for Level 2 and Level 3?
    Webinar dates are scheduled after enrolment and communicated by email. They run monthly across a three-month period. All sessions are recorded and the replay is uploaded within 48 hours for anyone who cannot attend live.
  • What is your refund policy?

  • I already have some of the documentation in place. Is this course still useful?

  • Can I upgrade from Level 1 to Level 2 or Level 3 after I've enrolled?
